This course is designed to provide high-level speakers with a platform to practice and expand their English through authentic materials and guided discussions.

The discussions will be thought-provoking, encouraging you to reflect critically and express nuanced opinions. You will have the opportunity to develop a varied and advanced language repertoire in a supportive environment, where students collaborate with and learn from one another.
You will be encouraged to speak freely, experiment with language, and reach new heights in your proficiency.
What I offer
Authentic: I make use of authentic materials in my lessons. These are texts which have been written in English for speakers of the language. These materials connect learners with the English-speaking community and broaden their knowledge not only of the language but the world as well.

Reactive: the language we study isn’t pre-selected or prescribed–on the contrary, my goal is to help you fill in gaps in your knowledge. This means we’re going to study aspects of the language (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation…) that are necessary to you.

Relevant: our discussions will typically revolve around your experiences and your views on the world. Also, the feedback I give you is based on your needs, wants and specific context.
I believe in teaching that is authentic, reactive, and relevant:
The syllabus
What I expect from you
This course has a flipped element. This means you will be assigned a task each week so as to prepare for our meetings. These tasks are mandatory and part of the course workload, so make sure to consider this extra time (from 30 to 60 minutes a week) you will spend on them.
